Product Features

Fuel cell dedicated air filter

1. Filtering Particulate Impurities from the Air: When the air intake of a fuel cell system is drawn from the air, impurities and particles enter the air pipeline. These particles can clog the flow channels in the fuel cell stack. Therefore, an air filter is needed to filter the air entering the system reaction.

2. Adsorbing Impurity Gases: Adsorption and chemical reactions are used to remove harmful gases, preventing impurities from reducing the activity of the cathode catalyst and thus degrading fuel cell performance. Impurity gases in the air, such as SO2, NOx, and H2S, all have a significant impact on fuel cell performance.

Maintenance methods

1. Flip up the latches on the back cover of the cathode air filter and remove the back cover; remove the main filter element.

Note: The safety filter element does not need to be removed.

2. Use compressed air (not exceeding 400 kPa) to remove dust from the inside out, while simultaneously rotating the filter element to evenly move the air pipe until no obvious dust is emitted.

3. Wipe the inside of the air filter housing and the air outlet pipe with a clean cotton cloth until the dust is completely removed.

4. Reassemble the cleaned main filter element and tighten it securely. Prevent the filter element from becoming misaligned, which could cause a short circuit.

5. Reassemble the air filter back cover and tighten it securely. Prevent the sealing ring from being missing and ensure the outer casing is fully inserted into the groove of the back cover.

Note: The dust bag opening on the back cover should face vertically downwards.

6. Tighten the latches.

7. Finally, check that the air filter is properly assembled, start the machine for a test run, and use it normally if there are no problems.
