On December 26, the 30MW-class pure hydrogen gas turbine independently developed and launched by Ming Yang Hydrogen Fuel Power Technology Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Ming Yang Hydrogen Fuel"), a subsidiary of Ming Yang Intelligence, officially rolled out of the production line. This gas turbine is the world's first 30MW-class pure hydrogen gas turbine, equipped with the "Jupiter I" pure hydrogen combustion chamber independently developed by Ming Yang Hydrogen Combustion, which can realize 100% pure hydrogen combustion and "zero carbon emission" in the true sense.

The launching of this pure hydrogen gas turbine is a milestone in the development of China's large and medium-sized gas turbines in the field of hydrogen energy, an important achievement in the construction of a new type of electric power system and a major breakthrough in the country's "necklace" technology, which is of great significance in realizing the goal of "carbon neutrality" and creating a new model of "wind, light, hydrogen, storage and combustion" clean energy with international competitiveness. Gas turbine is regarded as the "pearl in the crown of manufacturing industry" and "the most difficult mechanical equipment in the world", and is mainly used in the fields of power generation, distributed energy, power grid peaking, motorized power supply, and long-distance pipeline transmission and pressurization. In order to solve the problem of new energy consumption, the demand for large-scale and long-cycle energy storage is becoming more and more urgent, and the solution of "wind-scope hydrogen storage and combustion" has received wide attention. When wind power and photovoltaic power generation are in excess, green hydrogen is produced from the surplus power through electrolytic water hydrogen production equipment, and the ball tanks are used to store hydrogen to realize inter-day, inter-month, and inter-seasonal energy storage, and then the stored green hydrogen is used in hydrogen gas turbines for power generation and heat supply when the wind power and light are less, so as to realize the objectives of shaving the peaks and filling the valleys of the flexible resources, suppressing new energy fluctuations in the grid, and improving the regulation, safety and stability of the electric power grid.

The pure hydrogen gas turbine products launched this time are designed for the "Shaguo Wasteland" area and the "Big Base" project, equipped with 10 sets of independent "Jupiter I" pure hydrogen combustion chambers, with a maximum hydrogen consumption of 38,000 cubic meters per hour. With a maximum hydrogen consumption of 38,000 cubic meters per hour, it can consume 10,000 tons of green hydrogen per year, which is equivalent to the annual hydrogen consumption of 50,000 hydrogen fuel cell passenger cars, and the annual power generation and shifting of nearly 200 million kilowatt-hours. The launch of "Jupiter One" can promote the development of zero-carbon cities, zero-carbon industrial parks, zero-carbon communities, help the construction of rural distributed zero-carbon energy body, and play an important and irreplaceable role in the green peaking of heating, energy supply and gas supply.

It is reported that the product has become the world's largest capacity of pure hydrogen gas turbine combustion chamber test since the first ignition test in May 2023, and has passed the "hydrogen-ammonia hybrid" combustion test, verifying the feasibility of "green hydrogen + green ammonia" hybrid combustion, which has been completed in the domestic aviation The full-temperature, full-pressure, full-size test has been completed in the domestic aviation engine/gas turbine test bed, and the test was successful.
