The country's first on-site hydrogen production and cogeneration demonstration model in a high-speed service area was launched

Recently, the country's first on-site hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, and cogeneration project in a highway service area was put into operation in the high-density service area of Qingyin Expressway.

High-density "Zero Hydrogen Energy Service Area" project is "Hydrogen into 10,000" -- "Hydrogen energy high-speed and zero carbon service area key technology integration and demonstration" project,is also one of the important construction tasks of "hydrogen into 10,000" national science and technology demonstration project. High-density "Zero hydrogen energy service area" uses photovoltaic power generation, electrolysis of water to produce hydrogen, and high pressure gaseous hydrogen is stored, and hydrogen energy is used as energy storage through the construction of hydrogen fuel cell cogeneration system. The medium stores the excess electricity generated by photovoltaic and converts the stored hydrogen energy into electricity through a hydrogen fuel cell system at night. The heat released by the fuel cell can also supply domestic heat to the service area, which is combined with the heat pump system to achieve summer cooling and winter heating. 

It is estimated that the average annual carbon emission reduction after the operation of the project will reach 500 tons. High-density "Zero Hydrogen energy Service Area" Hydrogen energy practical application and intelligent microgrid system By establishing a hydrogen as the core energy supply system, the "zero hydrogen energy service area" realizes the low-carbon energy supply technology route in the service area, which has leading demonstration significance in the country, and is an important promotion for the development of hydrogen energy industry in Shandong and even the whole country.
